Winter Daze 2026
Last weekend, Chevron Island turned it up for the second annual Winter Daze Motorcycle Show! This show, as part of the 'Its on at Chevron' Street Party, brings together riders, builders and enthusiasts from across South East Queensland. The event transforms Thomas Drive into a vibrant celebration of local culture, food, live entertainment and community, with the motorcycle showcase finding its home at the ever-popular Espresso Bansai!
From meticulously restored classics, café racers, modern customs, choppers, scramblers and performance builds, the variety on display was a reminder of just how diverse the Australian motorcycle scene has become. Every bike tells its own story and is a reflection of the person holding the keys. Whether it was a painstaking garage build or a beautifully preserved original, visitors had plenty to look at throughout the day.
The show was made possible thanks to the efforts of Purpose Built Moto, who organised the motorcycle component of the event. Once again, a relaxed, rider-focused atmosphere encouraged builders and enthusiasts to connect. Their passion for supporting the custom motorcycle community was evident in both the quality of the bikes on display and the welcoming environment they helped create.
Events like this wouldn't happen without the support of the businesses and sponsors who continue to back the local riding community. Alongside the hosts; Espresso Bansai, local brands such as Moto Social, Road Store, Old Bike Magazine, Timeless Auto Trim, Padre Brewing and more jumped on board to assist with the Daze.
More than just a bike show, Winter Daze showcases the strength of the Gold Coast motorcycle community. It was a day built around conversation, craftsmanship and shared passion, proving once again that the best motorcycle events aren't just about the machines—they're about the people behind them. If this year's turnout was anything to go by, Winter Daze has firmly established itself as a fixture for the Chevron Street Party for years to come!
Personally, I travelled to the show with my 1999 Harley Davidson Chopper. Immediatley after parking up I was greeted by lots of familiar faces. The smell of local cuisine and sounds of the Espresso Bansai DJ mixing some beats set a pretty rad scene for the day to come. Typically id come with the camera in hand but this time, my phone captured some scenes. I hope you enjoyed these out of focus, dusty images from our time at Winter Daze!
